Fiberglass yarn consists of E-glass filaments gathered into a stable yarn structure with sizing and light twist. It is widely used for technical fabrics, electrical insulation, and composite reinforcement.

1.Fiberglass Yarns

Fiber glass yarns consist of a defined number of E-Glass filaments of a certain nominal diameter, brought together to form a yarn. The yarn’s structure is fixed and protected by a size and a slight twist, generally in Z and S direction.

Twisted yarn is made of single yarn, twisting two or more yarns in the against the direction and winding it on the bobbins or beams. Technical definitions of twisted yarns are the same as single yarns. The twisting process presents a yarn with a higher tex number and twist, thus improving its technological features for further textile processing: higher tensile strength and friction resistance, better resistance to mechanical damages, etc.
